On 09 September 2019, GreenCIC signed a contract with the Project Management Board of Viet Nam Partnership for Market Readiness (VNPMR) and the Department of Climate Change (DCC) – Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) for a project called "Development of training materials on NAMA, crediting NAMA, Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) protocol, carbon pricing, Market-based Instrument MBIs and carbon trading".

As the international community cooperates to tackle climate change, Viet Nam has recognized the climate change impact and shouldered the responsibility with the global community. Viet Nam are developing and implementing greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction policies. However, Viet Nam has only recently implemented pilot activities related to Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Activities (NAMA) such as crediting NAMA recently, which will enable the country's readiness to join the national and international carbon market. Therefore, the project VNPMR managed by World Bank aims to improve competence for the development, implementation and dissemination of national policies and instruments on GHG emission reduction NAMA, Market-based Instrument (MBI) development, pilot implementation of NAMA crediting in Vietnam and development plan for joining national and international carbon markets.
GreenCIC was assigned to develop training materials on NAMA, crediting NAMA, Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) protocol, carbon pricing, MBIs and carbon trading. The training materials would raise awareness, knowledge, and responsibility of the authorities at all levels and sectors, as well as all organizations and the public on GHG emission reduction and carbon trading.
GreenCIC plans to develop a comprehensive set of training materials and presentations in English and Vietnamese as follows:
